Women's Ministry (WELCA)
WELCA circles are women’s groups that meet each month here at Prince of Peace. And, as important as Bible study is, we are more than women’s Bible studies. Our circles offer the opportunity to build friendships among a diverse group of women in an informal and supportive environment. New members are always welcome! We meet the third Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. There is also a meeting on the fourth Sunday of the month at 12:30 p.m., between September and June. We enjoy a lunch/brunch and fellowship and study. Join us.
Lutheran women have a long and rich history of studying God's word together. The Lutheran Woman magazine entitled Gather serves as our study guide and offers many enlightening articles to keep women informed on spiritual issues as well as current events and other interesting topics. Come out to learn, share, laugh, and pray; it’s always time well spent.
As bold women in God’s family we strive to serve doing God’s work with our hands. Our outreach projects touch those in our home community and reach around the world through our connections with the church at large, the ELCA. Come and experience what we’re all about and see where you might fit in. Get connected, visit a WELCA meeting this year! Contact Sharon Ormrod at 410-866-8766, if you have questions.
And try our Quilting Group...
HEARTS AND HANDS is a women's quilting group that meets on the second Tuesday every other month. The date is announced at the beginning of each month on the website and on Facebook. This group meets from 10 am till 1 pm and creates lovely quilts and prayer shawls for those in need. The group is always looking for new women to join the team and everyone is welcome.
